Roma handed Juventus their second consecutive defeat with a 2-1 win. Bosnian internationals Miralem Pjanic and Edin Dzeko got the goals for the Romans while Argentinial newcomer Paulo Dybala replied for the Bianconeri. Roma dminated play for the most part although Juve fought back. Roma just showed what they can do while Juve dont seem as strong, the way Roma dominated was telling. Well only time will tell.

intercarpi

Inter Milan beat a stubborn Carpi team 2-1, the goals for the Neroblue came from super Montenegran international Stevan Jovetivic with both goals. The reply for Carpi came from Italian Antonio De Gaudio. Two wins in row for Roberto Mancini lets hope it continues he is a good coach. Carpi are newcomers and will have to play better at home to keep them from falling back down

????????????????????????????????????

Ac Milan got an important victory of 2-1 over Empoli. The goals for the Rossoneri came from newcomers Brazilian Luiz Adriano and Colombian Carlos Bacca while Italian Riccardo Saponara replied for Empoli. A very close and tough game Empoli contrlled the play while AC where very opportunistic. After a first loss a much needed win for the fragile Milan team, Empoli is still looking for their first points of the season in spite of playing well.

Fiorentina got beat by a very strong Torino team in a score of 3-1. Torinos’ goals came from Italians Emiliano Moretti, Fabio Quagliarella and Daniele Baselli the reply for the Tuscans came from Spanish Marcos Alonso.
Judging from this game Torino will be a force to reckon with this season they exposed Fiorentina’s defence over and over. It will be interesting to watch them. Fiorentina still have a good team they are usually slow starters.

Lazio got a drubbing 4-0 at the hands of surprising Chievo Verona. the goals we’re scored by Riccardo Meggiorini, Alberto Paloschi with two and Valter Birsa with the other one. Chievo is on fire with two lopsided wins in a row against strong teams. While Lazio who are playing in the Champions have two losses in a row. They seem to be going in different directions for sure.
palermoudine2
Napoli had to settle for a 2-2 draw with Sampadoria while Genoa defeated Hellas Verona 2-0. Sassuolo continue to impress with a 1-0 road win against Bologna while Palermo beat Udinese 1-0. Finally Atalanta got their first win of 1-0 over newly promoted Frosinone.

Hello everyone and welcome back to a new edition of the weekly Serie A Review

juvevsudine3

Needless to say the biggest surprise of the week was Juventus’ defeat at the hands of Udinese of 1-0 in Torino to boot. The late goal was scored by Frenchman Thereaux. After losing Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal to NYFC and BayernMunich some questions rose about La Grande Signora. If this game is an indication we are set for a more competitive campaign. For Udinese a great start to the season although dominated for the most part of the game, they were perseverant.

22-08-15 HELLAS VERONA ROMA SERIE A TIM 14-15

22-08-15 HELLAS VERONA ROMA SERIE A TIM 14-15

Roma got held to a draw by Hellas Verona of 1-1, with Serbian international Jancovich putting Verona ahead and Italian international Alessandro Florenzi replying for the Romans a few minutes later. The Romans dominated play however could not muster much in terms of shot. Goals we,re hard to come by last season and it was critical. It will interesting indeed to see how Roma fairs this year, will they really challenge Juve?

milanwin

AC Milan lost 2-0 to a strong Fiorentina team, in a beatiful day in Tuscany. The goals for the Viola we’re scored by Spanish Marcos Alonzo and Slovenian star Josip Llicic. Fiorentina picked up were they left off, starngely enough so did AC. No doubt abot Fiorentinas‘ quality however it remains to be seen if AC have improved, if not heads will roll..quickly

intervsataInter Milan contrary to their cousins got a first win over Atalanta with a score of 1-0, the lone goal was scored by priced newcomer Montenegrin international Stevan Jovetic. A good start for the Neroblue although not very convincing in spite of the win. A lot of signings for Inter however It remains to be seen if Roberto Mancini can actually improve the team.

napolivssassuolo

Lazio started we’re they left off with a 2-1 victory ove newly promoted Bologna while Napoli lost to Sassuolo 2-1 exactely we’re they left off last season..strange indeed.

carpi2

Sampadoria gave a good indication of their intentions with a 5-2 drubbing of newcomers Carpi

frosinone

Torino beat newly promoted Frosinone 2-1, By the way Frosinone is a town very close to Rome almost a suburb it will be interesting to watch them.

Palermo beat Genoa 1-0 in a beatiful day in Sicily while Empoli got surpised at home 3-1 by Chievo Verona

Serie A Review 2014-15 week 26: Juventus win in Sicily, Roma and Napoli lose more ground.

Hello everyone welcome to the Serie A review

juvesassuolo

Juventus took another step towards the title by defeating a tough Sassuolo team 1-0 on a goal from super Frenchman Paul Pogba. Sassuolo are always tough to beat and the game was very close till the final whistle although Juves’ class came through at the end. In spite of not seemingly being as good as last season Juve notwithstanding a disaster in the last part of season Juve will win the Scudetto for a fourth consecutive year. Sassuolo for their part have had a great season so far, and it looks like they will stay up if they keep playing like that

romachievo

Roma drew for the 11th time this season in a 0-0 draw against Chievo Verona. Roma again dominated possession although could not put one behind the net. Seems like a season to forget for the Romans with so many expectations this season it seems like the chocked under pressure. Only with a miracle can they catch Juve, as a matter of fact they might even lose their familiar 2nd spot if they don’t start winning. Chievo have improved from last season although not by much only time will tell if they stay away from relegation.

napoliinter3

Napoli and Inter Milan played to a 2-2 draw that seemed to satisfy both coaches. Argentinian star Gonzalo Higuain and Marek Hamsik scored for the Partenopei while Argentinians Mauro Icardi and Rodriguo Palacio replied for Inter. A tale of two halves, Napoli dominating the first half while Inter came back strong in the second half. Napoli must keep focusing on every game if they want to challenge for the Champions League. Inter for their part have improved since Roberto Mancini took remains to be seen if they can climb closer to Europe.

Fiorentilaziofiorentinana met their nemesis Lazio of Rome in a 4-0 defeat. Argentinian Lucas Biglia who has been great for Lazio this season, Italian international Antonio Candreva and German Miroslav Klose with 2 scored for the Laziale. After a string of good results domestically and in Europe the Tuscans hit a wall in Rome however they are still a good team and I would not be surprised to see them in 3rd place before season’s end. Against all expectations Lazio has climbed to third spot just a couple of points shy of second place, a fantastic season for the Laziali no matter what happens from now till the end of the campaign

milanveronamilanoverona2

AC Milan continue their sea-saw season in 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona. Frenchman Jeremy Menez who has been a sensation for AC scored while the other goal was an own goal courtesy of Greek Tachsidis Panogiatis. Italian Luca Toni and Argentinian Nico Lopez replied for Verona. AC have had a tough season so far, a lot was expected with the arrival of Pippo Inzaghi however things seem to have gotten worse. Hellas for their part are also inconsistent and if they are not careful they might be relegated.

Serie A Review 2014-15 week 25: No master between Juventus and Roma Napoli lose ground

images (7)

Hello everyone welcome to the Serie A, where the game is played with style

juvevsroma2

Juventus held their ground in Rome in a 1-1 draw. Malain Keita Seydou netted for the Romans while Serie A leading score Carlos Tevez replied for the Bianconeri. A well balanced game while the Romans enjoyed most of the possession of the ball Juve had the better chances to score. An important point for the Bianconeri which sees them inch closer to locking in the title. Roma for their part lost an opportunity to make a statement and to gain 6 points. I think this game is very telling, I don’t think Roma has what it takes to win the Scudetto this season.

napolivstorino2

Napoli got stopped cold in a 1-0 defeat against Torino. Polish sensation Glik Kamil scored for the Granada who are very impressive of late. The Partenopei had a tough task ahead with Torino being practically unbeatable at home nevertheless they had control of the game but could not score and what usually happens happened Torino counter attacked and scored. A great win for Il Toro who are on high right now and are climbing closer to the top spots. Napoli have not been able to be consistent this season, it seems that they are satisfied to fight for third spot.

interfiorentina

Fiorentina defeated Inter Milan 1-0 the goal coming from Egyptian sensation Mohamed Salah. A well-played match both teams we’re pushing forward and it made for a good spectacle. The Viola have steadily improved all season long and if we take all matches in all competitions they have one of the best win loss record in Europe. Inter for their part we’re playing well, before this match they had not tasted defeat in 5 games. The way they are playing I believe they will continue to climb the standings

chievomilan

AC Milan drew 0-0 against Chievo Verona. Milan who continue to struggle enjoyed some good moments although they we’re out-chanced by a determined Chievo. Milan don’t have much time left to save their season, it’s really sad to watch one of the most decorated teams in the world struggle the they are. I don’t think Filippo Inzaghi is the man for the job as manager they should look somewhere else however I think they will give him more time. Chievo got a precious point which will keep them away from the danger zone

Serie A Review 2014-15 week 24: Juventus win Roma lose ground Napoli kept pace

images (7)

Hello everyone welcome to the Serie A review where the beautiful game is played with style

juvevsata3

Juventus got a step close to their 4th consecutive title by defeating Atalanta 2-1. Ageless Andrea Pirlo and Spanish Fernando Llorente scored for La Grande Signora while Italian Giulio Migliacci replied for the Bergamasci. A good performance by Juve and they could have had more goals notwithstanding a few good save from the Atalanta keeper. Pirlo had a fantastic game once again with over 80 passes completed. With Roma failing to keep pace only a small miracle can keep Juve from winning another Scudetto. The Bergamasci for their part must find a way to accumulate points or they will be in danger of going down.

romavshellas

Roma drew again this time 1-1 against struggling Hellas Verona. The ever young Francesco Totti scored for the Romans while Serbian Jankovic Bosko scored for the Veronese. Roma completely dominated the game and could have had at least four goals, Bosnian superstar Miralem Pjanic had a fantastic game as did Malian Keita Seydou. Tough times for Roma who have a total of 9 draws out of 24 games this season, they will never catch Juve at this rate. Hellas is also in a rough time after a couple of good seasons this one seems more difficult they must improve to avoid relegation

napolivssass2

Napoli inched closer to the Romans and the automatic Champion League spot with a 2-0 win over much improved Sassuolo. Slovak sensation Marek Hamsik and super sub Colombian Duvan Zapata who always seems to score when he is in the lineup got the Partenopei on the scoreboard. Important win for the Partenopei which sees them just two points behind Roma and the second spot. A very important spot as it guarantees a Champion League spot. Sassuolo are enjoying a good season and are 8 points clear of relegation at the moment. They must not let this defat demoralize them.

fiorentinamontella

Fiorentina had to settle with a 1-1 draw against a strong Torino team. Egyptian Mohamed Salah scored for the Tuscans while Italian Giuseppe Vives replied for Il Toro. A very tough match indeed both teams we’re going for the win and it gave a great spectacle. The Viola are enjoying a great moment and are close to a Champion League spot, they must not let up. Coach Vincenzo Montella is doing a good job in Tuscany.Torino for their part are enjoying a good season in spite of losing both their outstanding strikers from last season Alessandro Cerci and Ciro Immobile.

intervscagl

Inter Milan are climbing towards the top of the standings with a 2-1 win over Cagliari. Argentinian Mauro Icardi and Croatian Phenom Mateo Kovacic scored for Inter while Inter keeper Argentinian Carrizo Juan Pablo had an own goal which made the score closer than the match indicated. A good moment for Inter and their fans with a little luck they just might reach Europe. The Sardinians for their part are struggling at the moment, they must find a way to get points if they don’t want to be relegated

In other scores

milanwin

AC Milan got an important win of 2-0 over Cesena which keeps them in the hunt for Europe
