Hello everyone welcome to the weekly Serie A Review where the game is played with style

????????????????

Juventus we’re finally defeated to lowly Parma no less with a score of 1-0. The only goal of the affair was scored by Brazilian Jose Mauri. Juve who seem to be like an unstoppable train hit a roadblock in Tuscany. Although they played well enough to win a lot of credit goes to the Tuscan team, whom in trying to put forth a last ditch attempt to avoid relegation played a great game. However notwithstanding a disaster in my view Juve will win their fourth consecutive title. We will see in the Champions League I guess if this more of a reflection on the rest of the league or the Juve team. Nevertheless I must say its uncanny how Juventus remain hungry year after year. I wish I knew their secret I would bottle it and sell it.

Lazio trumped Empoli 4-0 to overtake Roma in second place. Italians Stefano Mauri and super Antonio Candreva, Brazilian Felipe Anderson and German legend Miroslav Klose all scored for the Laziali. Lazio is on a surge overtaking their city rivals and second place. A great story indeed a lot of credit goes to the coaching staff as well as the players. They are fun to watch and also seem to strike a perfect balance with possession and attack not unlike Bayern Munich. They will be hard to ignore for that Champions League automatic spot if they continue to play this way. Although Empoli held their own possession wise they we’re no match when it came to attacking effectiveness nevertheless they must remain positive and focus on their main objective.

Torino Fc - Roma

Roma we’re held to a 1-1 draw in Torino against a very strong Torino team. Argentinian Maxi Lopez scored for Granata while Italian Alessandro Florenzi replied for the Romans. A very evenly matched game possession was split and so we’re the chances, Torino is confirming their seasons form and surging at the right moment. They will be looking a Europa spot for sure. Roma has slipped to third place and the way they are playing combined with the surges from the teams chasing them they might fall even further. Something is just not right this season in the Eternal City, my feeling is that Rudy Garcia will be let go after this season.

Napoli showed what they are capable of with a trouncing of 3-0 against a very strong Fiorentina team. The goals for the Partenopei we’re scored by Belgian sensation Dries Mertens, Croatian international Marek Hamsik and Spanish sensation Jose Callejon. A very important win for Napoli that not only delivers a blow to their direct competitor but also might restore some needed confidence to a very good team. The Partenopei in my view must remain focus and consistent to have any chance for a Champions league spot. Fiorentina for their part must not lose confidence after this game, the same things apply to them if they want any chance for the Champions League.

Both Milan teams who are traditionally powerhouses are struggling with consistency this season, nevertheless Inter Milan got a much needed 3-0 win against a struggling Hellas Verona team, while AC Milan had to settle for a 1-1 draw against a very strong Sampadoria team.

In Other Scores

Genoa continue their impressive campaign by defeating Cagliari 2-0. I believe a Europa League spot is within reach for the Genovese

Palermo surprised Udinese in Udine 3-1 a score that reflects the improved play from the Sicilians and the inconsistency from Udinese

Atalanta got a much needed win of 2-1 against an improved Sassuolo team

Lastly Chievo also got some important points by defeating Cesena 1-0

There you have it folks another edition of the Serie A Review with 8 games remaining the race is hitting a peak..stay tuned
